AtmosClear SA is a Swiss-based investment and development fund aiming to invest-in, explore and implement innovative solutions to global climate and energy challenges.

Our investment focus is on opportunities that:-

Resolve issues associated with Climate Change and Peak Oil
Re-use or re-cycle waste products and
Focus on practical, bankable and sustainable solutions.

There are many new exciting breakthroughs in renewable energy and carbon sequestration technologies and our role is to identify, test and design them into our projects.

Our Market Focus

Governments around the world have pledged to reduce GHG (Green House Gas) emissions by signing the Kyoto Agreement. As part of that agreement, each country accepts its GHG reduction target and incentivises local businesses and entrepreneurs to create ‘Green Projects’ to combat the GHG levels. These companies are rewarded with abundant, long term (up to 20 years) generous incentives.

Governments enhance the profitability of ‘green projects’ in order to stimulate their creation and provide project developers and investors with more interesting and secure returns.

Success Criteria

The profitable exploitation of a ‘Green Project’ depends on three key factors:

a secure, long term, fixed priced feedstock supply
access to a reliable and efficient conversion technology and
a long term off-take agreement with an indexation matched to the feedstock supply

The traditional technologies used in green projects are known and reliable but inefficient. New proven, more efficient technologies are able to produce returns in excess of 50% higher than traditional solutions.

These new technologies are currently unacceptable to the traditional financing institutions but may well be acceptable to us.

We employ a flexible investment approach to working with management and vendors and aim to align interests to the benefit of all. In our deals, management have a significant financial stake in the company. We are recognised as, or work with, experts who are well known in our industry sectors. We are frequently approached by management and vendors who want to complete a transaction outside the broad auction arena.

We recognise that each deal presents a unique set of challenges. As such, we have been at the forefront of developing and executing innovative deal structures. The firm is primarily concerned with growing businesses, and will always employ financing that is appropriate to these ends.
